Not a tournament Kevin will wish to remember – with him facing a rampant Andrew Gilding in his second game in Minehead. While it wasn’t on TV, the guesses on Goldfinger’s average range between 108 and 118. Kevin didn’t play badly, but he just never got any chances to get into the game at all, and he left the tournament early.
Kev will be looking to put that behind him quickly, as it’s back to the pro tour next weekend in Barnsley, with player championship qualification now the aim.
Round 2: Kevin Painter 5-2 Jamie Bain
Round 3: Andrew Gilding 9-0 Kevin Painter
