Painter hungry for repeat run

Having lifted the title three years ago, Kevin Painter is hungry to taste glory again in the Players Championship Finals.

The Artist claimed his first televised major in Doncaster, beating Mark Webster 13-9 in the 2011 final of the tournament that switched to Minehead 12 months later.

With the William Hill World Championship also on the horizon and memories of a first round exit in Somerset last year still relatively fresh in his mind, Painter told UK Sports Management he was ready for another memorable run.

The Unicorn Darts user also revealed the inspiration behind his eye-catching shirt that dazzled crowds at last month’s World Grand Prix.
